How it works

Make sure to give the app access to the folders!

This is a Master-Client File Syncer for macOS is designed to keep files consistent and up to date across multiple folders. Here’s how it works:

1. Mark files as Master Files:
   Start by designating files as the “master.”
   Pick in the App using the ID-Tab.
   The file will then be renamed: “XXX Name XXX_IDM-1234567.pptx“
   These files with IDM are the original files that you want to keep synchronised with its copies/clients.
2. Create Client Files:
   Make as many copies of the master file as you want—these are called “client files.”. The IDM Pretext before the ID will be renamed to
   1. “XXX Name 1 XXX_IDC-1234567.pptx” or “XXX Customer 2 XXX_IDC-1234567.pptx”
   2. Name can be anything – Just the “_IDC-1234567” must be part of the name!
      Place the files in any folders where you need up-to-date versions, such as different project folders or client packages.
3. Synchronisation:
   In the app define the folders with the master files as well as those for the client files. Whenever you update the master, the app helps you to synchronise all client files, ensuring every copy reflects the latest changes. No more manual copying or worrying about version mismatches.
